Zachary and Mia : Stillwater Oklahoma Children’s Photographer

This is another of my mini-sessions but we had to reschedule from our original date because of rain. Dumb weather! I was SO excited when I found that this family had scheduled a session with me because I went to high school with Zachary and Mia’s mom and it has been YEARS since we’ve seen each other. She ended up marrying a guy from my husbands hometown too. Such a small world! Erica’s kiddos are absolutely adorable. Although Zachary was awfully shy, bless his heart. By the end of our time together I was actually getting some great genuine smiles. Hopefully if we get together for pictures again someday he’ll know me enough to know that I’m pretty cool and he should smile for me. 😉 Thanks so much for coming to Stillwater Erica! It was great to see you and meet your sweet family!

Ericka and Robbie : Stillwater Oklahoma Engagement Photographer

These two were a lot of fun and up for anything. They are getting married in Hawaii next year (SO fun!) and will be having a reception in Oklahoma when they return. Ericka is a first year teacher and Robbie is a computer geek who, turns out, used to work with my husband. Small world! Since Ericka is a teacher I thought it would be fun to do some of their session at the Pleasant Valley School in Stillwater. Pleasant Valley is a one room school house built in 1899 after the original school burned down. It’s such a neat little piece of history in Stillwater and combines Robbie’s hometown with Ericka’s new job. After that we headed out to do some shots with my big pink balloons. The Oklahoma reception colors will be pink and black so these may just be used then! And of course, we had to incorporate some of Ericka’s home state of Texas in the session too with the yellow roses, blue bonnets and other Texas themed props.

Maria : Stillwater Oklahoma Senior Photographer

“How do you solve a problem like Maria?” That’s just one of many songs that Maria’s sister and I sang to her during her session. I often say that I’m Stillwater’s Singing Photographer because it’s not uncommon for me to say something that reminds me of a lyric and then bust out into song. Yep, I do. So when I started singing during Maria’s shoot and her sister Alex chimed in I knew it was going to be a fun session. Between the singing and the Laffy Taffy jokes we told it was definitely a fun session. Bonus…I have new jokes to share!
