Recently on a very hot and very windy Oklahoma day, the Bayer family drove to Stillwater to have some family pictures done by yours truly. Sweet little Ben, who I’m certain is generally full of smiles and laughter had been sleeping in the car and took a little bit to warm up to me. Bless his heart, he started to warm up but then he started to get so hot out in the heat and I think if he could have strung a complete sentence together it would have been something like, “I’m not really interested in taking pictures right now because it’s really hot out here and I’d much rather be in an air-conditioned building. Let’s go get some cheese fries.”
Sadly he couldn’t say that. So he just soldiered on, and did a good job of it too! Big sister Emerson had a blast once we finally made it around to the tire swing she’d been eyeing since they arrived. Even if it did leave her with completely black hands.
Thanks for coming to see me Bayer family! It was great to meet you and I sure hope you’ll come back again and visit! Emerson, hope you had a BLAST at VBS!
