I’ve gotten to know Juliana over the last few years as she’s on the swim team with my youngest daughter Teagan. She’s been such a good friend and I’m thankful for that! Juliana needed a head shot for the year book but wanted to do her session in the spring. So we did 1/2 her session now and will finish up after the holidays. Best of both worlds.

Also, I’ve been to this cotton field about 5 times in the last week. It’s SO pretty and the light is gorgeous. Oh, and Juliana is pretty beautiful herself! We had a lot of fun during her session and these are some of my favorites!

Time is a weird thing to me. I do this thing where I wonder how I would have reacted years ago if I knew something today. Case in point, this kiddo is the son of someone I went to middle school and high school with. I don’t think we went to the same elementary school but I DO think we danced at the same dance studio. Shout out to Regina Ann Smith’s of Tulsa! Anyway, I wonder what 14 year old Margo would have said if someone told her, “Margo, you know Bethany Waddell? When you’re 45 years old you’re going to take her son’s high school senior pictures.” I probably would have glazed over everything but that 45 and said, “I will NEVER be that old! YUCK!”

It’s weird to me, time. I’m thankful to be older and wiser and to have the opportunity to know the children of people I knew as children themselves. It’s pretty darn cool. We tried really hard to have a great time at Benjamin’s senior session. However, it was cold. And Bethany fell down. And my stomach hurt. In the end, I got some great shots of him and everyone lived to tell the tale. No harm done.

Kellen and I became friends about 7? 8? 9? years ago? I don’t know y’all. I’m old and time is different now. Anyway, she was here at OSU getting extra smart and we met at church and hit it off. I *think* she thought I was funny because I did a “Not What To Wear” skit for our teens at church. She could not resist my charm after that. 😉

Fast forward all these years and I had the opportunity to shoot her engagement pictures, and got to go to Illinois and shoot her wedding, and now she and her little family have moved back to Stillwater! They are the cutest. And baby is here now and I love her and her newborn pictures are coming soon. Until then, enjoy my faves from our time together documenting this pregnancy.
