When I first started madigan.e.photography, I bought a website that was simple and easily maintained. Over the years, I have tried to keep up with it and update it but have done a pretty poor job. My blog is where you’ll find me most of the time and my website showcased work that was out of date and not representative of the current work I was creating. So some time ago I set out to find a new website that would reflect my current work and personality.
After a lot of looking around, I decided to go with a Showit site. My next step was finding a designer that could work with me and my ideas as well as my limited budget. I was thrilled when I found Chinelle of Branded Love. We talked several times and before long she had some initial designs from the ideas I had given her that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, she hadn’t worked on a Showit site before and it proved to be quite a challenge. So my awesome blog that changed back in July was all her doing. She also designed that super fun logo for me! Thanks Chinelle!
I had a lot of the pieces that I wanted to use for the new site so I decided that I might see if I could put it together myself.
Um…no.
Just no.
While trying to figure out something, I posted on the Showit facebook page and all of the sudden there was a response complete with a bright light and angels singing the Hallelujah chorus. Ok, not really but that’s totally how I felt. Just like that I had a new friendsaying that she was designing Showit sites and would be happy to help me. As in, she would design my site for me.
WHAT?!
Between our very busy schedules, some serious glitches because I don’t speak tech and always took forever to find answers for her, and just life in general my new site is finally LIVE! I can’t thank Julie enough for helping me finally have a home on the web that feels like ME. I feel like I will forever be working on the business aspect of madigan.e.photography, but what a wonderful first step this is to having a cohesive brand that I love!
Go check out my new digs here. I hope you’ll love it as much as I do!
