Y’all. I can’t. I would say a good majority of the people that I work with are ones that I have known for awhile. So this is nothing new. However, this guy. Sigh. This guy has been one of my son’s besties since day 1. I’ve known Luke since he was a little bitty guy on the baseball team. I’ve known him since he went to elementary school across town with Eli’s little girlfriend and would let Eli know that they were, in fact, still boyfriend and girlfriend. (Back before cell phones, good times friends.) Luke and Eli have set small fires together, ridden in luggage racks on people movers, and broken bones on mission trips. So this one is like one of my own.
I had the pleasure of meeting his now fiance Kirsten a couple years ago and knew immediately that she was something special. She’s down to earth, fun to be around and absolutely loves Jesus and shines His light. The perfect match for our Lukey.
Kirsten and Luke, I can not WAIT until August to see the two of exchange vows. It’s going to be amazing!
