I love outdoor weddings but I am always a little bit worried that the weather isn’t going to cooperate. I go prepared for hot and humid or rain and wind and hope for the best. September 12th in Oklahoma did not disappoint. It was an absolutely beautiful day and the venue was just gorgeous. I had never been to the Clauren Ridge Vineyard in Edmond before so I was excited to visit and shoot my first wedding there. WOW. That’s about all I can say about that. Not only is the venue amazing, the staff was perfection. If you’re planning a wedding and reading this then you definitely need to check them out.
We started the day off at Courtney’s Grandmother’s house getting ready and laughing a lot.
Next stop was the vineyard to put on her beautiful wedding gown!
Courtney’s dad was in the navy and had a patch of his uniform sewn to the underside of her gown as a surprise. She then added Cameron’s guard pin. So special!
Courtney and Cameron decided not to see each other before the wedding and did a “first sight” around this door. Courtney did however do a first sight with her Daddy and I may have teared up enough that I couldn’t see through my lens. So there’s that.
Seeing his bride for the first time while his best man comforts him. Love!
Isn’t this place amazing?!
The first dance with dad was emotional enough. Then Courtney followed that up with a surprise daddy/daughter dance with a close family friend who lost his daughter in an accident late last year. It was so touching and I pretty much lost it at that point.
Congratulations Courtney and Cameron! Thank you so much for choosing me to spend this day with you!
